The line up – Giroud, Per and Rambo return
October 6, 2012
Posting late today which puts me in the unusual position of knowing the line-up before writing the preview. It also means this piece will only be worth reading for about ten minutes so I’ll be quick.
I’m already bracing myself for the anger and fury that only a match against Big Fat Sam can bring.
We may not have seen his big walrussy face in a while but you can be damn sure you’ll know what to expect when facing one of his teams. And it won’t be beautifully delicate one touch football.
So I think that’s why we’re seeing the return of Per Mertesacker and Olivier Giroud to the starting XI. Fighting fire with fire. Or brute strength with…the biggest players we can muster. Per deserves his recall and will have his work cut out against a player who we know is so dangerous in Andy Carroll. But Giroud will be trying to outdo him down the other end and hopefully he can turn his promising recent performances into goals with a bit more luck in the penalty box.
The line up is:
The Don
Jenks – Per – Verm – Gibbs
Art – Rambo
Gerv – Caz – Pod
Girooouuud
Hoping that Ramsey can really stake his claim in the middle of the park for the full 90 after showing so much class in a cameo role lately.
Last game before yet another international break so a good result is essential to my mental health for the next fortnight. Let’s make sure we leave it all on the field.
Come on you Gunners!

What a shame about Vaz Te. I think Vito should get a 3 match ban for tripping him up with his face.
